What are templates?

Ysurvey templates offer a convenient way to customize the look and feel of your surveys. You can select the background color, fonts, font colors, font sizes, and more for your surveys. Feel free to create an as many templates as you like.

Applying a template to a survey is a snap - simply select a template from the pull-down menu when creating or editing a survey.

How can I change the default template?

To change the default template:

  1. Sign in to Ysurvey using your administrative user name and password.
  2. On the "Manage Ysurvey" screen, click the "Edit" link next to the default template.
  3. Make the necessary changes and click "Done."

How do I create a new template?

To create a new template:

  1. Sign in to Ysurvey using your administrative user name and password.
  2. On the "Manage Ysurvey" screen, click "Create New Template."
  3. Enter a title and description in the relevant fields. (The description is optional.)
  4. Click on the color palette icon to select a background color. The default background color is white.
  5. Select the desired font, font color, font size, and text formatting options for your survey title, description, questions, notes, and answer choices.
  6. Click the "Update" button to save and preview your settings.
  7. Click "Done" to return to the "Manage Ysurvey" screen.

How do I edit an existing template?

To edit an existing template:

  1. Sign in to Ysurvey using your administrative username and password.
  2. Locate the desired template on the "Manage Ysurvey" screen and click "Edit."
  3. Make the whatever changes you like and click "Done."

How do I change the survey background color?

The default background color for surveys is white. However, when creating a new template or editing an existing template, you can select a different background color for your survey.

  1. Sign in to Ysurvey using your administrative username and password.
  2. Click "Create New Template" or locate an existing template on the "Manage Ysurvey" screen and click "Edit."
  3. Click on the color palette icon in the "Choose survey background color" area to select a background color.
  4. A pop up window with color swatches will appear. When you click on a color, the pop up will close and the "color" textbox will be filled in with the appropriate color code. If you like, you can also fill in a hexadecimal color code manually or type in the actual color name (e.g. "white", "blue", "green", etc.).
  5. Click "Update" to save and preview your changes.

When creating a new template or editing an existing template, you can further customize the look of the survey by selecting your desired font, font color, font size, and text formatting options. Follow the steps below to make your selections:

  1. Sign in to Ysurvey using your administrative user name and password.
