What could the board have done better?

(all results shown)

Thought they did a great job!
no issues.
I think the prize and dollar amount ratio for the gift cards seem a little steep. Not worth spending so much money for nothing..... :(
met with people in the barns to get a handle on how the show is going..
Chose better prizes...especially when someone has to choose between $5 or a 1st place ribbon.
Offer better prizes
Make themselves known to all

What Year End overall high point prizes would you like the board to offer in 2012?

(all results shown)

Maybe a couple of choices - similar to catalogue
work saddles or scooters!
I like the idea of gift cards it I wish they were $1 for each point. It doesn't seem worth it the way you did it this year.
Really liked the saddle for Overall and reserve over all last year. Would like to see that back.

How would you change MMOHSC?

(all results shown)

Would like more information for #5 before making decision - would the cost increase,
logo - need to better understand cost structure for shows etc before answering 7. I dont support cost increase for exhibitors, families, etc.
The prizes, and Stop having soo many shows in Ithaca!!! I hate it there! Better location would be a plus. Offer other classes like lead-less showmanship, bridless classes, discipline rail, something new! The classes are the same at every single show!
Pick judges more carefully in 2012
I would add a "step-up" class for those w/t who want to try lope but do so with others of their skill level..
People spend a lot of money at your shows and don't get anything back. We get $5 for firsts, 50cents for everything else. The year end catalog has nothing but cheap useless items any show person already has. Why go to an open show and get nothing when you can go to a another circuit, spend the same amount, and get much more....
Better prizes
I think the prize levels are very low quality. I would like to see more chances to win
Add "step-up " class for those w/t who would try lope but could fall back into w/t if not comfortable...

Loved the pictures on the website - thanks Kim and Gerry for such a great job! The team tournament is fun - maybe having teams meeting each other somehow before the start.
hanging out with family & friends at Mt Pleasant.
Being with friends!
All the Saturday night cookouts and all the great people I got to show with.
The storm that postponed the show - wow what a lightshow!

On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being Excellent) how would you rate the board and why?

(all results shown)

10 - I feel they worked very hard.
8
3. Not hardly any involvement with members
9 feel like a few judges were not qualified to judge our level shows this year.
8 - one can always improve...
5. The board does everything in their power to make the shows run smoothly but the decisions always seem biased towards their children who are showing or towards themselves. My family has been showing MMOHSC for over 10 years and we won't be returning this next season. The judges are 4h quality, the prizes are cheap, and the people have become rude. Time to move on.
Judy Hanson was very active and did a super job never really knew who else was involved.
8.... I would like to see them out in the barns introducing themselves ... friendly recognition of those coming to shows..
